My friend Cathy of Bossa Nova Baby and I organize Crafty Wonderland: Portland’s art + craft extravaganza. We put on 2 large-scale craft fairs a year at the Oregon Convention Center and have a retail store downtown featuring the work of 125+ local artists! Crafty Wonderland, 802 SW 10th Ave, Portland, OR.

I’m also a member of the women’s collective Portland Super Crafty. We came together to help promote our businesses and spread the word about the joys of crafting and the importance of buying handmade items. Our first book, Super Crafty: Over 75 Amazing How-To Projects was published by Sasquatch Books in the fall of 2005. We also filmed a few episodes of Uncommon Threads for the DIY Network. I’ve always wanted to be on tv, but I’m actually quite camera shy.
